High-level committee proposes for promoting exports The high level committee formed to study the impact of the economic crisis has proposed to facilitate export oriented industries by floating more credit to them. The committee, headed by vice chairman of Nepal Planning Commission (NPC) Yubaraj Khatiwada, came up with the proposition of export promoting policies in the light of augmenting trade deficit amounting to a whooping Rs 153.06 billion. The committee has also proposed to expedite export of silver jewellery. The exports of silverware and jewellery have declined in the current fiscal year to Rs.103 million. nepalnews.com |
