Three accused in Jamim murder remanded to judicial custody Kathmandu District Court has remanded three persons arrested in connection with Jamim Shah's murder to judicial custody, Sunday. The court ordered the accused be moved to jail for investigation after government lawyers filed case of murder against them. They were moved to central jail after the court order Sunday. Those arrested and moved to jail today include Kishor Khadka, Laxman Dhamala and Prakash Chhettri, a suspended Sub-Inspector of Nepal Police. Although cases were also filed against Jagadish Chand, a former Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and Sri Krishna Poudel, they have not been arrested so far. Shah, a one-time media tycoon who owned two broadsheet national dailies, a satellite TV channel and Nepal's biggest cable network, was shot dead inside his car in front of French Embassy in Lazimpat on February 7. nepalnews.com |
