Unified CPN (Maoist) hints at vote of no confidence
CPN (UML) chairman Jhala Nath Khanal has blamed the Nepali Congress and the main opposition party Unified CPN (Maoist) for being obstacle to writing the new constitution on time.
He termed NC as regressive and the Maoists as ultra leftist and alleged both the parties for not being flexible on their stands to forge consensus on some of the important national issues.
Inaugurating the fifth district convention of the party in Khotang on Saturday morning, Khanal said it is possible to complete constitution writing process within the scheduled time if the parties show serious commitments.
He added, failure of the parties to find consensus will push constitution writing deadline further and invite instability in the country. Khanal alleged Maoists of concentrating on changing government rather than on constitution writing. nepalnews.com
