UML CC discusses form of governance

Even as the ruling party CPN (UML) Constitutional Assembly (CA) members voted at a CA committee for a Prime Ministerial System many UML leaders have advocated for a Presidential System much in line with the main opposition Unified CPN (Maoist), Wednesday.

A UML Central Committee meeting on Wednesday decided to take the proposition of directly elected President to the Constituent Assembly. The CC has claimed its decision is as per the party's manifesto issued before the CA elections.
