Decomposed body of young woman found

Police have found the body of a young woman who was gang-raped before being murdered in Sunsari district on Wednesday.

The victim identified as Mina Subba, 24, of Panchkanya VDC-8 had gone missing twelve days ago.

The victim's decomposed body was found today at 11 am in a place called Thumkidanda on the way to the tourist spot of Bhedetar with the help of some locals.

Police had three days ago arrested Sujan Shrestha, Mukesh Magarati and Sudip Shrestha on the charges of raping and subsequently murdering Mina.

Police said the three have already confessed that they had left Mina in the jungle after committing the heinous act. However, they denied their involvement in her murder. However, police said the three will be charged for abduction, rape and murder.

According to reports, the three had picked up the victim at Namje while they were going to Bhedetar in their Maruti van (Ko 1 Ja 624) with some passengers from Dharan.
