No need to take Koirala abroad immediately, doctors say The doctors involved in treatment of ailing Nepali Congress president Girija Prasad Koirala have said there is no immediate need to take him abroad for treatment. The doctors have checked Koirala's health condition on Tuesday morning and concluded his health condition is stable for now. Koirala's health deteriorated over the last few days due to complexities seen in lungs caused by Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. He has been given oxygen round the clock. The family members have been insisting to send him abroad for medication. The Apollo Hospital in India was informed that Koirala would be flown there for treatment. Koirala's only daughter and deputy prime minister Sujata Koirala is currently on a Europe visit. She has been advised to return Kathmandu immediately to take final decision on Koirala's treatment. Sujata is likely to arrive by today evening or early morning tomorrow. nepalnews.com |
