Girl dies over minor dispute

A girl has lost her life on Tuesday following a dispute over drinking water in Morang district.

The deceased identified as Tika Devi BK, 13, of Letang VDC 2 died after a local Harka Bahadur BK hit her on the head with a heavy object following a dispute over drinking water, reports quoted Morang District Police Office as saying.

She died on the spot.

The two had a dispute over who gets to fill water in the public tap first.

The accused is on the run after the incident.
